About this spot
Tragumna beach is a relatively gently sloping, sandy, south/south-west facing beach located at the north east of Tragumna Bay. There is a small island (Drishane Island) located in the bay which shelters the beach. The beach adjoins Lough Hyne Nature Reserve & Environs a Special Area of Conservation and a proposed Natural Heritage Area (SAC, pNHA 000097) and the Sheeps Head to Toe Head Special Protection Area (SPA 004156). The beach is used by limited numbers of small boats.
